Joshua Adam Simpson

July 20, 1982 ~ May 30, 2021 (age 38)

Obituary

Joshua Adam Simpson, 38, of Knoxville, Tennessee, departed this life on May 30, 2021.

Josh was born on July 20, 1982 in Manassas, Virginia, where he resided until the spirit of the wind took him to Knoxville, Tennessee, in January 2020, where he lived until the day he entered eternal rest.

He attended Manassas Park High School and worked for 20 years as a swimming pool maintenance technician until he started a new career as a Production Manager in Tennessee.

Josh enjoyed the simple things in life, particularly the peace and nature found while camping alongside the river, joking with his nieces and nephews, and the joy of wearing a new white t-shirt. His faith in God and the richness of his compassionate heart were felt by all those who knew him.

His laugh will echo into eternity.

Josh is survived by his mother, Laura Beavers Cohn, of Bealeton, VA; his sister, Jennifer M. Simpson of Sacramento, CA; his brother, Joseph L. (Stephanie) of Catlett, VA; his brother, James S. (Kendra) of Front Royal, VA; his brother, Jeffrey M. (Sylvia) of Manassas, VA; nephews and nieces he adored (James M., Christopher L., Devin W., Kaylin L., Annabel L., Emilee M., and Alina M.), and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jay M. Simpson; paternal grandparents Samuel G. and Alma M. (Rogers) Simpson; maternal grandparents Raymond L. and Therese J. (SeGuine) Beavers; and cousins J. Michael Kines, Michelle L. Larkin, and Christopher S. McCormick.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, July 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Purcellville Baptist Church (601 Yaxley Dr., Purcellville, VA 20132). The interment will be private.
