Christopher David Lowe

Christopher (Chris) David Lowe 46, formerly of South Knoxville, passed away Monday, January 31, 2022, in Baton Rouge, LA. 
Chris was born July 11, 1975, in Knoxville, TN.

He is preceded in death by his beloved father Jimmy (James David) Lowe, and mother, Teresa Ann Sutherland. His grandmothers Jewel Lowe, and Dorothy Sutherland. 
He is survived by his son, Jared Christopher Lowe, his papaw Ed (James Edward) Lowe. Chris is also survived by aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Chris graduated from South Doyle High School in 1993. 
He enjoyed dirt track racing, especially watching his cousin Brad Lowe and dear friend Scott Sexton. 
Although he battled addiction, he loved his family and friends profoundly and enjoyed making them laugh. Chris was so proud of Jared and always tried to be the best father he could.
Since his father's passing, Chris struggled with the loss of his best friend, and now we rejoice knowing they are reunited. 

Family and friends are welcome to gather to remember Chris on February 5, 2022, at 5 p.m. at Woodlawn Christian Church, 4339 Woodlawn Pike. 
The best way to honor Chris's memory would be to show an act of kindness to someone battling mental illness.
